In celebration of Valentine’s Day this week, I hope you were able to spend some time with the ones you love and cherish them, I hope that also included you!
I was asked to give a brief talk on Tuesday, and the topic was Rethinking Self-love and Self-care. It was a good reminder to love on your past, present and future self— your completely whole, lovable self.
Love your past self: may you cherish all your successes and love on yourself even with mistakes and failures.
Love on your present self: talk to yourself with kindness and compassion and do the things that fill you up and bring you joy.
And love on your future self: by taking care of your body, mind and soul— however that looks in this season of life, you are honoring future you. Block off some time this week, month and year for things you love. And honor that commitment. Your future self will thank you.
