I think it’s important to acknowledge where you are. Greet yourself and love on yourself. Know what support would look like in this moment. Coaching is amazing, but sometimes you need a psychiatrist, psychologist or therapist. Sometimes you need and want them all. And that’s ok. Join me if and when you are ready. These are some resources I’ve found and I will continue to add to.
Physician Support Line
https://www.physiciansupportline.com
Physician Support Line is a national, free, and confidential support line service made up of 600+ volunteer psychiatrists, joined together in the determined hope to provide peer support for our physician colleagues and American medical students as we all navigate the COVID-19 epidemic.
Call the national support line at 1-888-409-0141.
The Lifeline and 988:
988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. While some areas may be currently able to connect to the Lifeline by dialing 988, this dialing code will be available to everyone across the United States starting on July 16, 2022.
When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
The current Lifeline phone number (1-800-273-8255) will always remain available to people in emotional distress or suicidal crisis, even after 988 is launched nationally.
Crisis Text Line provides free 24/7 confidential support via text message to people in crisis. Send a message to 741741 to get started
