I’ve been toying with an idea for several months now. It loops me back to a lesson I learned (or thought I had!) when I was working in hospital administration. Sometimes, it’s important to listen to yourself over outside “experts.” I mean of course, it’s important to have people in your life you know and trust and are a wealth of knowledge (especially in fields you know less about).
I value deeply the experts in my life for financial advice, dentistry, doctors, tax accounting etc. But for things more personal, perhaps it’s important to let your own opinion matter, too. I’m a fundamentally logical thinker. I like it when things “add up,” but I’m also deeply sensitive and intuitive (when I listen– and this has been a process!).
When I finished my coaching certification program, picking a niche was prioritized and we were in the middle of the pandemic. I naturally felt a pull to help doctors… but there was a push to choose doctors as “it”. There was (still is!) a tremendous need and coaching lacked the stigma of mental health services so it felt like a great avenue to help others the same way it helped me. BUT I was also still stewing in a pot of burnout.
To be honest, something just felt off. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it but it felt like I was excluding a huge group of people and it wasn’t fully aligned with what I wanted… but I trusted the experts and moved on. I formed a business, built my own website, made business cards, social media platforms, etc and yet… I wasn’t feeling the magnetic pull that I hoped would come. In fact, I started to feel oddly repelled over the last few months. What started as a little whisper was growing to a “HEY!”
So bottom line: I’m fine tuning and ignoring some of the experts’ advice. I’m growing:) Over the next little bit, you’ll see my migration over to a new name/ website. In some ways, it’s silly. It’s the same me, with more coaching content. I’m still a doc so it will be hard to lose that lens, but finding my way in this coaching world, I’d like to open up and align.
I’ll share this quote from a book I recently finished Anatomy of Anxiety by Dr Ellen Vora:
Once we develop the ability to listen to our body’s inner whisper, we have the benefit of an internal compass telling us when we’re moving in the right direction and when we’ve strayed. And that is all we ever need to know….Knowing we’re on our path, headed in the right direction, is enough… Path also accentuates the notion that you don’t have to have it all figured out; there is no pressure to arrive somewhere; it’s simply the direction that needs to feel right.”

Well, this feels right.
So who are my people? I’ve found myself drawn to working with professional women, most have been moms. I’m who they call when they are ready to quit sacrificing themselves constantly for their job or their kids. I’m who they call when they are ready to build a 50/50 partnership with their spouse and when they are ready to prioritize and enjoy their free time.
I’m here to help unburden that mental load and create something magnificent with you and for you.
Why? Because I feel deeply that when women are empowered to care for themselves like they do for everyone else, they thrive— and so does everyone around them.
So, if this message resonates with you or someone you know– invite them to this space; share the email or one of my social handles. I’m looking to create a collaborate, supportive community for working women to grow, connect, and thrive.
Be on the lookout for the full migration! Take a look around my updated site.
